For those of you who are new to my self-imposed challenge, I started this project last year (July 1, 2011) and set the goal of writing 12 novels in the year, each one approximately 100 pages but definitely at least 50,000 words. Things didn’t work out quite according to plan but that’s okay. I completed 3 books (an autobiography, a western and a choose your own adventure). The link for the original blog is:
I highly recommend you check it out to catch up.
So. The main difference this year will be the expectation that I won’t write 12 novels but I’ll finish with 12 novels completed and in varying levels of sophistication. This year there will be mostly months of pretty much writing at least 40,000-45,000 words and I have yet to decide if I’ll keep most of the genres of focus on a few in particular.
I’m hoping that the lessons I’ve learned over the course of the last year will serve me well and I’ll remember the wisdom I had drilled into my dense little skull.
I hope you enjoy the blog, visit often and leave comments. I hope my ambitiousness rubs off and inspires you to pursue your own passions. Happy reading, it’s lovely to have company along the way!
